This is a medium weight carrier oil that has a slight scent of olive oil. It is a blend of six vegetable oils and is a relatively costly mix. I have used some of these same cold pressed oils in the past, independently and in combination, organic and not, as vehicles for handmade fragrances. None of the ingredients are exotic and none are, of themselves, extraordinarily expensive. This said, the Livedrops blend is a good quality mix, absorbed well into the skin and long-lasting. One needs only to add an essential oil.The mild background olive oil scent in this Livedrops 24/7 disappears when I add the essential oils of lavender and/or rose geranium, the two fragrances I recently mixed with it. These scents stayed on my forearm for hours after I mixed them in the Livedrops 24/7 carrier. There was no olive oil undertone—no undertone of any of the blended oils.The Amazon ad for this Livedrops 24/7 says that many of the ingredients are organic and/or cold-pressed and are “responsibly sourced and palm oil free.” But apart from general claims in the Amazon ad, how might a consumer learn what these claims mean? I want to know about ingredients I routine put on my skin. The company would do well to connect consumers to an informative website to substantiate its claims–to provide information about growing, manufacturing, and industrial standards for example– but the website given on the bottle provides only more vague claims. Though the bottle is labeled from “France,” the ingredients are “globally sourced,” and apparently the oil is bottled in the US. Who owns the company? I could not discover this basic info via the website. There is no mention of third-party testing for purity, no organic logos/stamps on the bottle. This pricier than average blend works does work well as a carrier oil but I would like to know more about a product and a company.
